Fire crews are working the scene of a crash involving a train and a semi-truck outside Cameron on Tuesday morning.
The 7 a.m. crash led to an explosion and fire that was captured on videos by passersby and residents in Milam County, which is about an hour and a half northeast of Austin between Temple and the Bryan-College Station area. According to the Cameron Herald, authorities have evacuated residents who live nearby due to a concern over possible hazardous materials.
The newspaper reports that multiple train cars have been derailed. No injuries have been reported, according to KCEN-TV.
Milam County Sheriff Chris White told KBTX-TV that the train was carrying coal and gasoline, which caught fire. White said the semi driver and the train’s crew were unharmed.
