Reaction: Media torches Will Muschamp after blowout loss

Following back to back losses in which his team failed to show up, South Carolina coach Will Muschamp is facing the music following Saturday night’s 48-3 loss to Texas A&M, the program’s worst SEC setback in more than a decade. Hot seat is a phrase often used too loosely after devastating defeats, but given Muschamp’s job security heading into the season following a 4-8 campaign, the program’s trajectory is heading in the wrong direction with potential consequences.
“I hope they’re pissed off, and that’s fine,” said Muschamp when asked about his message to the fans. “The last two performances, I don’t think there’s any doubt they should be (upset).”
