WSJ News Exclusive | Dominion is suing MyPillow, CEO Mike Lindell over voting claims
WASHINGTON – One of the largest voting machine manufacturers in the United States on Monday sued a prominent supporter of former President Donald Trump for defaming the company on false accusations of rigging the 2020 election for Joe Biden.
Dominion Voting Systems sued Mike Lindell, managing director of MyPillow Inc., Minnesota, and his company in the US District Court for the District of Columbia for more than $ 1.3 billion in damages.
In its complaint, the company cited a number of statements by Mr. Lindell, including in media appearances, social media posts and a two-hour film alleging widespread electoral fraud. Mr Lindell said he was involved in the production of the film, which he released online in early February.
