(CNN) – When it comes to pandemic quarantines, this might be for the best: you can spread out on a hotel balcony overlooking the azure Caribbean waters while you gently bake in the sun.

But for some it is not enough.

There have been a number of high profile cases over the past month of tourists getting into trouble for breaking the rules while on a sun and sand vacation.
