The report, cited by the CIA, explains how the Crown Prince approved and likely ordered the murder of Khashoggi, four people familiar with the content told the intelligence service.
Khashoggi, a US Washington Post journalist who often criticized the Crown Prince in his writings, was killed in 2018 after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. Officials believe Saudi activists likely dismembered Khashoggi’s remains, which were never found.
