On Thursday, teachers and staff at the Los Gatos Union School District received an enticing offer in their emails: a COVID-19 vaccine ahead of schedule.

According to investigation news San Jose Spotlight OutletGood Samaritan Hospital in Los Gatos offered the vaccine as a “gesture” of kindness to District Superintendent Paul Johnson and staff after the district raised funds for a meal-provision program for frontline workers.

“The hospital’s COO says we can access the appointments … and has clarified [Los Gatos schools] Employees signing up under health care buttons, “Johnson emailed district officials at Spotlight. Educators are part of Phase 1B in California and Santa Clara County, behind frontline workers, nursing home residents and people over 65 years of age.
