Scenes from a record breaking winter storm
A coast to coast winter storm delivered snow and ice across the country, from Seattle to San Antonio, bringing cold temperatures and power outages to regions unused to severe winter weather.
At least 150 million Americans were according to the National weather service.
The Southwest Power Pool, which manages the power grid in at least a portion of 14 states, appointed a member of the electricity company Start controlled power interruptions in the power grid as the region’s power needs, driven by the bitter cold, overwhelmed the system.
