Liz Cheney will meet President Donald Trump again on January 6th
WASHINGTON – Despite threats against her re-election, prominent House Republican Liz Cheney did not back down on Tuesday from its criticism of former President Donald Trump and again blamed him for the January 6th deadly riots in the U.S. Capitol that exposed threats to democracy and the peaceful transfer of power.
“What we saw firsthand on January 6th was a threat to that system,” Cheney said during a foreign affairs event sponsored by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute. “What happened that day must never happen again.”
