Joe Biden speaks to the Saudi Arabian King Salman before the Khashoggi murder report is published
Joe Biden spoke to Saudi King Salman for the first time as president before a U.S. intelligence report was released alleging that the Saudi crown prince was implicated in the 2018 murder of dissidents and columnists for the Washington Post. Jamal Khashoggi.
A White House report on the call made no mention of the report, but noted in another context that Biden “reaffirmed the importance the United States attaches to universal human rights and the rule of law” and that the two of them have work on it “mutual” discussed worrying issues ”.
The Saudi embassy in Washington said the two men had “confirmed the strength of bilateral relations and discussed Iran’s malevolent activities in the region and ways to promote peace in Yemen”.
Biden was way cooler to Riyadh than Donald Trump and cut the US off …
