House Democrats prepare for ground fighting with raw emotions after the uprising
Rep. Anthony Brown (D-Md.) Said Democratic leaders have to work “carefully” to keep their members together on the ground, particularly what he called “messaging” bills, which have little chance and in the 50-50 Senate already internal generating departments.
“It’s strange, you know, when you’re in control of both Chambers and the White House and you’re still doing communications bills. It’s going to kill us in the medium term, ”Brown said. But he added, “The speaker is a master in this field.”
The Democrats are moving the legislation at a rapid pace for now, following the bills passed in the last Congress. They strive to show their grassroots the kind of progress that can be made by electing the Democrats to take complete control of Washington. But taking big turns can mean taking big risks.
