Fourth policeman who responded to Capitol riots died by suicide
A Washington, DC police officer pointing to the Deadly uprising in the US Capitol took his own life on January 6th last month, making him the fourth police officer to attend the events of that day to die at his own hands.
Officer Kyle DeFreytag helped enforce the curfew after hundreds of supporters of then-President Donald Trump breached the Capitol to disrupt 2020 election results certification, The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). said WUSA.
DeFreytag died on July 10th. He has been described as a native of Pennsylvania and a five-year veteran in the DC Forces.
The officer’s obituary states that a memorial service was held in the country’s capital over the weekend.
