Ex-Border Patrol Agent Says She Doesn’t Trust Agency: “Far Different From What They Are”
A former border guard criticized the federal agency’s internal culture, accusing it of promoting an environment of abuse and corruption. Since Jenn Budd left the agency in 2001, she has been a migrant attorney and has been calling her former employer accountable.
“It took me about 15 years to really think about what I was doing at the agency,” Budd told CBSN presenter Lana Zak on Wednesday. “The guidelines I enforced, the laws I enforced. Honestly, I had a lot of PTSD when I was on the Border Patrol.”
