Dominic Pezzola, proud boy at the Capitol, says he was betrayed by Trump
The Rochester man accused of leading the charges in the storming of the United States Capitol On Jan. 6, he said he was deceived and betrayed by President Donald Trump in court files his lawyer filed on Wednesday. The filing took place on the second day of the second impeachment proceedings against the former president.
Dominic Pezzola, 43, was charged Tuesday on 11 charges, including conspiracy and aggression, resisting or obstructing a United Stated Capitol police officer. Along with co-defendant William Pepe of Beacon, Dutchess County, he pleaded not guilty. Pezzola is due to hold a detention hearing on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
