Cuomo’s job permit falls as criticism of deaths in nursing homes rises
ALBANY, NY – New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has received a 10-point rating since January, according to a poll released Tuesday. The bipartisan criticism of his government’s reporting on the number of nursing home residents who have died from Covid-19.
A poll by the Siena College Research Institute of 804 New York voters found that the Democratic governor’s general approval rating fell from 56-42 in January to 51-47. When asked if they agree with how Mr Cuomo has made information about deaths in nursing homes public, 39% said they agree, compared with 55% who did not.
