- New Cabinet sub-committee, the National Economy Recovery Taskforce, has been set up with the PM and Chancellor as joint chairmen
- It is an attempt to signal that No 10 and the Treasury are in lockstep on policy
- Group to include Cabinet Office Minister Michael Gove, Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng, Transport Secretary Grant Shapps and Education Secretary Gavin Williamson
- They will try to fill the hole in public finances by devising a ‘plan for growth’
