The president of the National Assembly, Thandi Modise, says that the judicial offer of the African Transformation Movement (ATM) to have its motion of no confidence in President Cyril Ramaphosa decided by a “secret ballot” is an unfounded “abuse of process”, which should be punished with a severe cost order.
She maintains that the ATM, which holds two of the 400 seats in the National Assembly, is trying to influence the “internal affairs” of the African National Congress by pressing for a secret ballot.
