Swifambo boss follows Zuma’s lead, refuses to appear before Zondo
Swifambo Rail Director Auswell Mashaba will not appear before the Commission for Investigating Allegations of State capture.
This was revealed by commission test leader Vas Soni on Wednesday morning.
Mashaba’s lawyers, in a letter to the commission, said that the summons sent to Mashaba “does not constitute a legally and legally binding document.”

The chairman of the commission, Vice President of the Supreme Court Raymond Zondo, lamented the fact that Mashaba’s lawyer did not present any legal basis to ignore the subpoena, noting that the former president Jacob Zuma’s attorneys did “the same”.
