SABC workers to lower tools
JOHANNESBURG – Hundreds of SABC employees are expected to head to Union Buildings in Pretoria to protest job cuts at the public broadcaster.
They want the SABC board to be dissolved and the downsizing to stop.
The public broadcaster has sent letters to his employees in recent weeks, notifying them of the layoffs.
The unions now want President Cyril Ramaphosa to step in.
The SABC says there are contingency plans.
The public broadcaster says the ‘no work, no pay’ policy will apply, but unions They insist that their protest action will continue indefinitely.
