- The PSA has spoken out in favor of the elimination of the former Eastern Cape Health MEC, Sindiswa Gomba.
- Gomba was fired amid accusations of fraud stemming from Nelson Mandela’s funeral and an SIU report on the acquisition of scooter ambulances.
- The organization said that keeping Gomba in the position would have sent the wrong message to the public.
The Public Officials Association (PSA) has welcomed the dismissal of former Eastern Cape Health MEC Sindiswa Gomba.
The union said keeping her in office would have set a precedent “that stealing from the public purse is acceptable (sic).”
