Johannesburg – The Mpumalanga Police Commissioner has appealed to officers to seek help for their domestic problems and not to suffer in silence after an incident in which a police officer killed her boyfriend and then her baby committed suicide.
Lieutenant General Mondli Zuma said the allegations against the 28-year-old police officer were “devastating” and that if faced with domestic challenges, officers should not tackle the depressing issues on their own.
The incident occurred on Saturday in Embalenhle near Secunda.
The motive for the shooting has not been stated, but reports abound that the couple had been in trouble.
