President Cyril Ramaphosa said the government’s hopes of improving the fortunes of the economy lie in supporting small, medium and micro enterprises (SMEs) and as such he hoped to seek out SMEs and put them on the path to lead South Africa’s economic recovery.
Ramaphosa spoke at a webinar on SMEs as the government continues to implement its Economic Recovery and Reconstruction Plan aimed at guiding South Africa’s recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic and crippling national lockdowns.
