When the President of the United States orders troops into a war zone, he takes on a sacred obligation to protect them with ferocity.
So, it is beyond alarming to hear credible reports that President Trump did nothing after Russian intelligence officers offered Taliban fighters cash bounties to target Americans in Afghanistan, and that “several” Americans were likely killed as a result.
Trump claims he knew nothing about it, even though the National Security Council discussed the reports at a meeting in March, and the information was included in the written daily intelligence briefing, according to several sources who spoke with the New York Times, and later with several other media outlets.
That means one of two things: Either the president is flat-out lying, or he is not paying…
