Quarantined guests at Pepper’s Hotel in Adelaide will have to do 14 more days in isolation following the state’s new status as a coronavirus hotspot. 

SA Health authorities believe the outbreak, which hit 20 cases on Monday night, started when a worker at the medi-hotel in the city’s CBD brought the virus home.

Three employees, including two security guards and one back of house staff member, have tested positive to the respiratory virus so far and spread it.

Guests received a note under the doors of their rooms to let them know they were being moved to another hotel to undergo a further two weeks of quarantine, regardless of how much time they have already served.
