Victorian testing commander Jeroen Weimar breaks down testing figures
He said authorities received 20,116 tests yesterday.
“[So far] 8500 negative results already this morning. A further 7000 or so tests being processed. A continuing trend over the last few days. Testing centres open for business, seeing solid numbers this morning, waiting times, 60 Minutes up to two hours.”
He urged people to get tested, before explaining the cases at the airport cafe, Brunetti’s.
“Yesterday we discussed a number of lines of inquiry we were actively following up, the most important and concerning was the cafe at the airport, Brunetti’s,” he said.
“All 12 staff have been tested and 11 are negative. We have one more test result we are waiting on. That will come through later today….
