Six people injured after car crashes into Queensland dam queensland news

Six people have been injured after a car crashed into a dam in Queensland‘s south-east.

Queensland Ambulance said paramedics are treating six patients following the single vehicle crash in Wyaralong Dam on Beaudesert Boonah Road about 2pm today.

Critical care crews are also on the scene and rescue helicopters have been called.

“One male toddler was airlifted to (Queensland Children’s Hospital) in a critical condition,” Queensland Ambulance said in a tweet.

“A stable infant is being cared for on scene. One male patient in his 20s and a female patient in her 30s were transported to (Princess Alexandrea Hospital) in stable conditions.”

Police have closed the road in both directions and have urged motorists to avoid the area.

It is not known whether any officers were injured in the roll-over.
